alright, now we have a dog at home but how do we turn her into a lady ? i mean you cant have your doggie jumpin n eatin fm the dinnin table, barking at every sound, urinating all over the house ( a big one ), tearing apart anythin tangiable, listening to commands like stay, sit, come, etc ..
my beloved, farzeen is a trainer by profession. it was second nature for her to 'train' but somethin told me this was goin to be different. she hadnt a clue about social habits of dogs, their interactive ability, etc. All she knew was that good or a bad behaved dog is a reflection of the owner. Well, this became our mission - to train angel to behave like a lady.
The most interestin aspect of dog training is that you need to be persistent, patient and scientific. We had discovered that dogs can only be corrected if you catch them in the act at the very same moment. Few seconds late and the dog cannot relate to why he may be punished or repremanded. So we started spyin on her to catch her in the act...we must have used the word 'NO' a thousand times a day...I am sure she began to think 'NO' was her name...
Anyway, in just a week Angel used only the newspaper to potty only, she learnt the commands of stay, sit, come, fetch, drop, etc....while Angel was incredibly intelligent, you cant take away anythin from the hardworkin trainer.
